KIVA, helps Motorcycle Businesses and Riders

Have you heard of Kiva? Kiva (www.kiva.org), a non-profit organisation that allows you to lend as little as $25 (USD) to a specific low-income entrepreneur across the globe.

We’ve lent some money to people in third world countries who rely on Motorcycles and related transport for their income. They could be providing courier services, taxi service or it’s just transport to get them to their paying jobs.

Our current focus is in South East Asia, where we are helping some people in Cambodia.Obviously the Motorcycle businesses and riders are our target group, however we’ve got a boat guy in Siem Reap, Cambodia as well; diversification :-).

With Kiva, you choose who to lend to – whether a baker in Afghanistan, a goat herder in Uganda, a farmer in Peru, a restaurateur in Cambodia, or a tailor in Iraq – and as they repay their loan, you get your money back.

It’s a powerful and sustainable way to empower someone right now to lift themselves out of poverty.

Think about it, if you’re reading this page it’s because you love and have a passion for motorcycle riding. You’ve probably purchased a motorcycle for your spare time enjoyment.

In a sense, us who live in first world countries are consumers of the motorcycling way of life. Well, there are others who rely on Motorcycling as a way to put food on the table. It’s about time we put our money where our mouth is and help some of our fellow riders who need a hand with a loan. It maybe be to improve their business, or it may be to keep things going. Whatever it is, they need some assistance, and we can help.

So here’s the challenge, join us at Kiva and start helping.

How you can help.

  1. Buy something from the Motorcycleridingcentral Store or links and part of that commission we receive will go to Kiva.
  2. Join Kiva and join our team as we seek to help other motorcyclists and related businesses.
  3. If you don’t want to join us, send an email link (see Share and enjoy at the bottom of this page) of this page to friend so they can see what we’re doing in helping other motorcyclists in third-world countries or
  4. Send them a link to our lender page on Kiva! Our lender page on Kiva tells you who we are supporting.
