A couple of weeks ago I came across this article.
Paul Carter has embarked on a trip around Australia on a motorcycle that runs off fish and chip oil. For those outside of the old britsh empire, fish and chips as a meal are cooked in vegetable oil, usually the same as French fries, so technically speaking it’s all the fatty left overs now called bio-diesel.
The great thing about bio organic waste oils and fats is that they have very low carbon emissions. If you ever come up behind one of these vehicles, it smells, well, very yummy!
Paul’s motorcycle is built by the University of Adelaide, is the only one of its kind registered in Australia.
